"We're happy to introduce HGTV's Sarah Richardson and her designer palette to Nu Decor," said Erika Martin, Decorating Consultant.

Sarah Richardson is a Canadian girl and proud of it. She strongly believes it is important to back Canadian Companies such as PARA Paints.

"She did her research before she put her stamp of approval on the product," said Martin.

"We attended the big launch of the product line in November and the main focus was on HGTV celebrity and her designer palette, which we now offer in our store," said Cedric Tomico, President and owner of Nu Decor.

Para Paints has been a Canadian manufacturer since 1915. Richardson in partnership with PARA Paints, has used the product throughout her TV series such as "Sarah's House" and "Sarah's Cottage" on HGTV.

With 4 series under her belt, Richardson will be showcased on her new  series, "Sarah 101" which demonstrates to consumers how to create new spaces with PARA Paints. Ones that will, of course, be available at Nu Decor.

"There's nothing that transforms a room like a fresh coat of paint ... it is the single most impactful change you can make in a home," said Richardson.

Martin explained that throughout Richardson's series she teaches consumers that it's not about spending the big bucks just to get a new look.

"She (Richardson) does the work herself, she's down to earth and personable- she's real," said Martin. "She has always been a huge believer in the transformative power of paint."

Although it's premium paint the doesn't mean it has to come at a premium cost. The product ranges from $35 to a more expensive $58. Richardson uses the Ultra-Suede $50 line on her series.

"Speaking as a consumer, the amount of labour put into painting is the same whether you use Ultra paint or that of a lesser value... Ultra paint stands up, you get what you paid for, and I'm 100% behind it," said Martin. "The less expensive paints do not have the same durability as Ultra paints. It can be difficult to find Canadian manufactured products, but I'm proud to say this one is Canadian based."
