Friedrich Decorating Center was born in 1977, the product of George and Betty Friedrich and their interest in home decorating.

Over the next 20 years an established, respected company was developed through the use of fine quality products, including a full line of Pratt & Lambert paints, and excellent customer service.

Henri Tomico purchased the business from the Friedrich’s in 1997, and for the next five years the business grew in leaps and bounds. A second and third paint line was introduced (Para & General Paint) and business in the commercial and contracting sectors was increasing. Many of the reputable contract jobs that Friedrich’s has completed over the years include work for Goodlife Fitness Clubs, PK Construction, Reid & Deleye, Hayhoe Homes, Lincoln Group, Spanjers Construction, and Grassmere Construction. Some our international jobs include work in the Bahamas, Universal studios, Orlando, Fl and Panama City Beach, Fl.

In 2003 Henri Tomico and his son Cedric combined forces. Together they purchased a building downtown and moved the store to 86 Broadway in Tillsonburg. Now we have combined efforts with Verne’s Carpet One to offer all of our customers a one stop shopping experience to continue to meet the growing needs of both public and private customers.

Today, Friedrich Decorating has rebranded itself into a fresh new urban feel, at which NU Decor was born. We continue to carry the top of the line, 100% Canadian Manufactured, products by General Paint and Para Paints. We strive to provide the best service to the wide variety of customers ever changing needs with top of the line products and qualified staff.
